i confess i have a korg ms and i dont like it that much
the st-224 is more fun and interesting
those washing machine recessed pads are a pain in the bum and its very tedious
(assuming i am not dim) that you can not readily access the fx other than in a bank
so you cant just slap any effect you like with easy editing on an incoming sample
STILL NEVER MIND SURELY WE SHOULD BE ASKING WHY DOES ANYONE WANT
AN OLD DINKY STYLE ZOOM DRUM MACHINE OR AN ST224
WHEN R SERIES MIXERS OFFER THESE FACILITIES AND A LOT MORE AT A LOW
PRICE
i will not give my opinion on the matter as to why one might want to use st224/drum machines
but i do note the curious fact that the price these things till fetch whilst cheap is high
considering how low the price of the r-series mixers is
e.g i could get an r series mixer for 192 english pounds new from maplin using my voucers
whereas a good condition but still used st-224 might go for 80-12o pounds
and an mrt-3 for 50-80
pounds
Sam

I just looked at the r series and its totally different beast than the zoom sampletrack. Are you comparing apples and oranges?
